4X Los Angeles has a few different types of events:

• Special Events, One-time trainings or seminars with speakers from around the world who visit our group to deliver expert information in the areas of trading, strategies, and tactics for success in the 4X market. These events can either be live or via the hotComm conferencing software.
• Live Meetings, usually held once a month on a Sunday evening beginning at 5:30pm. We say "usually" because sometimes it's a couple times a month. Be sure to check the Online Calendar.
• Tuesday hotComm sessions, Tuesday evenings starting at 8pm but held only via hotComm (interactive web-conferencing) and only when we can fill the spot, so check the Online Calendar frequently

Live Meetings

Every month we meet in at Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, CA, about 26 miles southeast of Los Angeles. These meetings are a great way to meet popular Forex speakers, traders , trainers, and suppliers, not to mention a great way to network with other local traders. The cost of the evening is minimal, just to cover the rent of the room so come and meet and immerse yourself with a great bunch of people. All meetings are held in the Gabrielino Room in the Titan Student Union beginning at 5:30pm Pacific Time.

At this time, our President and his team are working diligently on securing speakers for 2008 and as soon as we know who/when, we'll add it to the list below. We do have the room reserved for the following dates so meetings will happen no matter what! Here's the schedule going forward:

• Sunday, Nov 9
• Guest speaker: LarryK of Tsunami trading. From their website: "...Our software analyzes Price, Volume, and Momentum in a unique way allowing you to see what most other traders and trading systems cannot see. This makes it very simple for you to detect those subtle but definite clues that define clear, 100% mechanical, higher-percentage, lower-risk trading setups".
• Trader Spotlight: TBD, we're attempting to lure Corey back for this segment.
• Sunday, Oct 12
• Guest speaker: Alireza "Ali" Tehrani, will be sharing his trading style, Gann Methodology, which is based on time and price. With his refined methodology, Ali has been able to turn his trading profession around. He will share his methods with us and apply them to the current market. You may use several of the techniques he will discuss to execute better trades. This is unlike anything you have seen before.
• Guest speaker: Ricardo Menjivar, of PFG Best. PFG Best may be the first ECN that has achieved the arduous task of successfully integrating into an ECN system, the very popular MetaTrader charting platform. Ricardo has put together an incentive package featuring some very attractive numbers which in combination with the many options available, serious traders will want to consider.
• Sunday, Sept 20
• No meeting. Mark McDonnell's seminar on Saturday, Sept 13th takes the place of this meeting.
• Sunday, Aug 10
• Guest speaker: Randy Sorrow, founder of Blue Wave Trading, will be conducting this webinar from his home in Hawaii. He is both a programmer and trader for the past 20 years.
• Trader Spotlight: two accomplished traders, Larry Velardi and Tom Rogers, live and in-person to present and answer questions to reveal their insightful trading skills
• Sunday, July 13
• No meeting. Mark McDonnell's class takes the place of this meeting.
• Sunday, June 22
• Guest speaker: Robert Sharpe, president SolomonFX expert adviser on GBP for Metatrader
• Trader Spoglight: postponed
• Saturday, May 10 (no rooms available for Sunday, May 11)
• Guest speaker: Steve Brooks discusses his new Pip Gorilla trading method

All our meetings are held at Cal State Fullerton's Titan Student Union. Our normal monthly meetings are held in the Garbriellino room. Larger meetings (when announced) are held in Pavilion A.
